A forklift is the core material-handling machine in a cashew factory, moving heavy raw cashew nut (RCN) bags, palletised in-process stock and finished export cartons between truck, store, processing hall and dispatch. Cashew Tech sources reconditioned (used) Toyota forklifts — chosen because Toyota is a reliable, widely-serviced brand and a well-maintained used unit is far more cost-effective than new for a start-up or expanding plant. Cashew Tech procures and inspects the unit; it does not manufacture forklifts.

Capacity is typically around 1.5–3 t depending on load and stack height, and the buyer picks a fuel type — diesel, LPG or electric — to suit indoor versus outdoor use and food-hygiene needs.

What it moves

RCN bags off the truck and into the raw store, pallets of in-process stock around the hall, and finished cartons and FIBC bulk bags to dispatch. At intake it pairs with the RCN bag conveyor to cut manual lifting.

Diesel vs LPG vs electric — for a food plant

Fuel typeBest forIn enclosed spaceNote
DieselYard / outdoor, truck unloadingNot ideal (emissions)Robust, low running cost
LPGMixed indoor/outdoorCleaner than dieselGood all-rounder
ElectricIndoor food areasZero local emissionsQuiet, hygiene-friendly

Electric or LPG are preferred inside kernel-handling areas; diesel is fine for yard work. Typical capacity ranges are indicative and confirmed per unit.

Capacity, mast & reconditioning

Capacity (~1.5–3 t) and mast/lift height are matched to your load weight and racking. Reconditioned units are inspected before dispatch; the inspection scope and any attachments such as a bag or bale clamp are confirmed per order — no specifications are invented.
