A 1-ton bulk bag — properly an FIBC (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container), or jumbo bag — is a food-grade woven-PP container holding roughly 500–1,000 kg of cashew, built in U-panel or circular construction and usually fitted with an inner PE liner. Cashew Tech sources and specifies these bags for processors handling cashew in bulk.

FIBCs are used for Borma nuts / Natural Wholes (NW) or finished white kernels in bulk, rather than the smaller graded-and-tinned export units. For a processor, the appeal is simple: cheaper per-kilogram handling, efficient warehouse stacking, and easy movement of large lots by forklift before final grading or packing into tins and PP bags.

When cashew is shipped in bulk bags

Bulk bags suit the stages before final consumer or export packing — receiving, storing and moving large quantities of Borma/NW or in-process kernels. Once material is graded (see cashew grades), it is usually broken down into 25/50 lb bags or vacuum tins for the finished export unit.

U-panel vs circular construction

U-panel bags hold a square shape when filled (good for stacking); circular (tubular) bags are woven without side seams. Both are offered; the choice depends on your stacking and filling setup.

PE liner, food-grade & moisture control

A food-grade woven-PP body plus an optional PE liner gives a moisture barrier for humid climates and long warehouse dwell times. Liner gauge and food-grade certification are specified per order.

Handling: lift loops, forklift & stacking

FIBCs are designed with lift loops for forklift and crane handling — pair them with the used forklift for intake and yard movement. Safe working load (SWL) and the safety factor are rated values confirmed per order.

What Cashew Tech sources & specifies

Cashew Tech specifies capacity, construction, liner and lift design to match your contents and handling, and supplies the bags alongside your plant. Capacity, SWL and loop design are confirmed per order — never invented.
